An international health and wellness organization, WHIEDA, officially known as the World Health Industry and Economic Development Alliance, has expanded its operations into Nigeria with the formal launch of its activities in Calabar, Cross River State.
The organization, which is headquartered in China, said its mission is to combine healthcare innovation with economic empowerment by creating opportunities for financial freedom for registered members across Africa and other parts of the world.
The launch ceremony, held at Pearl Hall of the Metropolitan Hotel in Calabar on Saturday, attracted stakeholders in the health, wellness, and business sectors.
Officials of the organization described WHIEDA as a global platform that connects healthcare companies, scientists, investors, and wellness experts.
Speaking with journalists during the event, a Five-Star Director in the organization, Nsikak Joseph, explained that WHIEDA focuses on biotechnology, wellness research, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and healthcare products.
“WHIEDA is committed to advancing preventive healthcare through innovative wellness solutions and modern healthcare devices designed to improve the quality of human life,” Joseph said.
He noted that the organization’s product line includes wellness equipment, healthcare devices, dietary supplements, skincare products, and protective technologies aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles.
He noted that, the alliance also seeks to encourage entrepreneurship by creating partnership opportunities for individuals interested in financial empowerment and business growth.
“We are not only promoting health and wellness, but also creating a platform where people can build sustainable sources of income through our partnership programmes,” he added.
Also speaking at the event, the African Regional President of WHIEDA, Lynn Zhang, disclosed that the company has spent nearly two decades expanding its operations across different continents.
Zhang revealed that the organization recently celebrated its 19th anniversary and currently operates branches across Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
“Our mission is to improve human health and prosperity through scientific innovation and international cooperation,” Zhang stated.
She further explained that WHIEDA plans to strengthen its African expansion strategy by building stronger partnerships and increasing awareness about wellness and economic development opportunities throughout the continent.
“Africa remains a strategic focus for WHIEDA, and we are committed to deepening our presence by empowering communities through health innovation and economic development initiatives,” she added.
