Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has hosted the founder of Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman, and the founder and Chief Executive Officer of CSS Group, Reverend Professor John Kennedy Opara, on a tour of the Arise Palm Resort, which is awaiting commissioning by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The two Christian leaders were in the state to inspire young people at the 2026 Ibom Ignite Conference.

The tour provided the visitors with an opportunity to inspect the resort, one of the State Government’s major tourism and hospitality projects expected to be commissioned by the President.

Speaking after the tour, Apostle Selman commended Governor Eno for the quality of work and attention to detail evident at the facility, describing the resort as a valuable addition to the state’s tourism infrastructure.

“I think it’s a very great work. The quality is what is most commendable, and it stands out remarkably. I really commend His Excellency for the attention to detail. It’s a great view, and I think this will bring a great boost and pride to the entire Akwa Ibom State. Congratulations,” he said.

Also speaking, Professor Opara described the resort as a world-class facility, commending the Governor for the project and his commitment to development.

“What I have seen here is comparable to any standard in the world. This is one of the best resorts I have seen. The Governor is doing extremely well, and I say to God be the glory. I’m proud of him,” he said.

The visit formed part of Governor Eno’s engagements with the two leaders during their stay in Akwa Ibom for the Ibom Ignite Conference 2026, which focused on inspiring young people to embrace innovation, entrepreneurship and personal development.

The Arise Palm Resort is among the projects the State Government is preparing for presidential commissioning as part of efforts to strengthen tourism, expand hospitality services and attract investment to Akwa Ibom State.
